University of Hawai'i Pathology Residency Program/Medical Student Education
The University of Hawai'i Pathology Residency is led by Program Director Dr. David Shimizu, a partner of Hawai'i Pathologists' Laboratory, LLP. The residency program is largely based at The Queen's Medical Center, where greater than 50% of the residents’ training is undertaken. The Pathologists of Hawai'i Pathologists' Laboratory also have faculty appointments at the University of Hawai'i John A. Burns School of Medicine. Our pathologists lecture frequently at the medical school, and also oversee medical student rotations in the pathology department.
